Swedish Wienernougat
Winernougat is a classic treat with a luxurious feel and a perfect balance of sweetness and nuttiness. The smooth nougat melts in your mouth and is balanced by crunchy almonds while the milk chocolate adds a soft and rounded flavor. A timeless favorite that’s just as perfect for the holiday dessert table as it is with a cup of coffee year-round.

Ingredients
- •500 g Swedish nougat
- •200 6 Milk chocolate
- •200 g Almond flakes
Instructions
- Toast the almond flakes in a frying pan over medium heat until golden. Set aside and let it cool.
- Chop the nougat and milk chocolate, then gently melt them together over a water bath (double boiler).
- Once the chocolate has melted, add the toasted almond flakes and stir well until evenly combined. If you like, reserve a few almond flakes to sprinkle on top at the end.
- Pour the mixture into a mold or baking dish and place in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until set. I used a large gingerbread man mold, but any dish around 20 × 30 cm will work, depending on how thick you want the pieces.
